KEEPING AFRICAN AMERICANS POLITICAL
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
KAPPAC
WASHINGTON- KAPPAC was founded to: 1) Support, educate and inform our communities about the political process. 2) Financially support both our elected officials and worthy candidates for local, state or federal office who share our community’s interests and priorities on legislation which will impact our lives. The PAC allows like-minded citizens, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, or political party affiliation, to pool resources in order to influence the decisions of who gets what, how much and how often.
KAPPAC was registered in 2006 with the Federal Elections Commission in Washington, DC, as a non-connected PAC. It is authorized to operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The PAC organization consists of an Executive Committee, Financial Board and Regional Board Members.
KAPPAC’s mission is to become full participants in the political process. Through the efforts of the PAC, we will position ourselves to impact the decision making process on appointments, resource distribution and laws that govern our daily lives. With the PAC’s involvement, organizations with common goals can help determine how tax dollars are spent and how legislation is written that affect our daily lives.
The PAC will help leverage the efforts of individuals and organizations lobbying their elected officials, supporting political candidates and influencing legislation that promotes the welfare of our communities. Through the PAC, contributions can be made in amounts far greater than individual contributions, thus providing opportunities to raise campaign funds, which may be used to promote and influence our views through the candidates of your choice
The PAC affords you the opportunity to support issues and candidates who can effectively move the African American agenda forward. Contributions through organizations, businesses or individuals from $250 up to $5,000 (maximum allowable by law) to the PAC, allows us to pool resources.
Please contribute generously and annually to support your increased involvement in the political process.
